President Joe Biden’s recent interview with Time Magazine reveals a stunning disconnect from the reality of his own immigration policies.

When asked whether his so-called “humanitarian” moves, such as lifting Trump-era measures, have driven record illegal border crossings, Biden flatly responded “no.” It’s a jaw-dropping denial considering the unprecedented surge in illegal immigration under his watch.

Under Biden’s administration, the foreign-born population in the United States has skyrocketed to a historic 51.6 million. This comes as officials report over 9.5 million nationwide encounters and an estimated 1.7 million illegal immigrant gotaways. The President’s actions, like halting border wall construction and scrapping the “Remain in Mexico” policy, have undeniably contributed to this crisis.

Biden even revoked Title 42, a policy that empowered Border Patrol to expel illegal immigrants back to Mexico swiftly. Yet, he has the audacity to claim he isn’t to blame. Unsurprisingly, his approval ratings on immigration have plummeted to a mere 36 percent.

Voters are waking up. Polls show that more Americans trust Trump over Biden on immigration, and an overwhelming majority of Independents support deporting illegal immigrants. Only 20 percent of Americans believe the U.S. has control over its borders. It’s clear: Biden’s policies have opened the floodgates, and Americans are paying the price.
