Should Daylight Saving Time Be Made Permanent?
Here’s the Scoop
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) once again proposed a bill to make daylight saving time permanent in the U.S.
So far, the Sunshine Protection Act of 2023 has garnered bipartisan support in the Senate.
“This ritual of changing time twice a year is stupid,” Rubio said in a statement. “Locking the clock has overwhelming bipartisan and popular support. This Congress, I hope that we can finally get this done.”
The bill currently has 14 co-sponsors in the Senate — seven Republicans and seven Democrats.
